"Shocking " Poor heating

Broke on 2nd day of use. Water filled the unit and entered the heating coils. I was notified when I was electrocuted after putting my finger in water. It worked by itself in a 40 gallon reverse osmosis plastic bucket. I have absolutely no idea how it broke. This is an incredibly dangerous product and I'm glad I wasn't seriously injured.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons

Great Product: Aquarium Heater

This heater really works great and is great value when it comes to temperature. It keeps the temperature accurate and heats the water fast enough. 200 watt is the only waterfall, but it doesn't stay on when the water reaches the temperature, it fluctuates to keep the water temperature. The temp reading is off a few degrees, so I'd use a thermometer to find that sweet spot.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Without automatic control

Works well for fish and aquatic animals for a month

Pull out this heater. I made a replacement with Revain, but the second burned bright red on only one heating element. It didn't look right. The original now looks like it has condensation in it. I tried the new one before sending the old one back. I will use another brand. First Review: Seems to work well. The water temps seem to be right for what I set on the dial. The main issues I have are terrible suction cups, this thing falls at least once a week. And I'm starting to see what looks like…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Pretty good aquarium heater

After one of my heaters started gathering dust after years of good service it looked like a good replacement at a reasonable price. After a few months in my tank it's working fine and heating up to the exact temperature. Much easier to set the temp compared to another brand on the other side of the tank as the rheostat hangs on a cord that hangs behind the tank with difficult access. The only complaint I have is that the suction cups aren't worth a damn. Every few days I have to replace the…

  • Easy install

  • Crumpled
