Fragile material - don't waste your money!

The metal of the locking mechanism is so brittle that someone could break it very easily. It was opened with no damage to the mailbox paint, indicating very little effort on the part of the thief. We could bend metal with just a pair of pliers. It's incredibly misleading to call it a lockable, secure mailbox when it only takes pliers and very little effort to reshape the metal. This took a little over a month and we couldn't get a response from their support team. Save money and buy the best…

Very reliable and well made

My wife and I are very happy with this mailbox. We decided to buy a new lockable mailbox after the mail theft started in our area and my prescription was stolen. It's more secure than others I've looked at, its mail slot is designed so a hand can't get past it like other designs we've looked at. Some other lockable mailboxes had mail slots large enough for a hand to easily reach in to steal the mail, but not this one. It has a nice lock and it's a solid galvanized steel box. It's a nice, secure

If you have mail theft, this is the box for you.

This mailbox is very well designed. The only thing that can break in to steal your mail is an octopus. After a spate of mail thefts in our area, it's time to stop them. I attached the box securely to the crossbars of the rack with 3/4" x 9" and 1/2" x 14" hardwood backing with square head screws/nuts/5/16" x 1" and 1/2" (L). Washers. I drilled the liner into the crossbars with a couple of 2" and 3/4" stainless steel deck screws, then secured the box to the liner with carriage bolts. Once you…

Good solid mailbox with broken back door

I bought this mailbox refurbished and it was basically new along with the recommended metal post. The installation went smoothly and I was very happy with the result. The next day I inspected my useful work, mailbox and mail were intact. At that point, I discovered a weakness in the back door lock that should have caught the attention of the manufacturer. If you open the front mail slot and hold it half open, you will see the tailgate lock. If you insert a long-handled screwdriver into this…

Mail is much safer because of the L-shaped metal hole

We've had mail theft in our house and neighborhood recently, so we need to look for a lockable mailbox. We purchased an Architectural Oasis 360 mailbox from Pewter along with an Architectural 7540B-10 mailbox adapter plate. Overall we are very happy with both purchases. 1) Hello to the seller for delivering the mailbox before the stated delivery time. 2) We originally wanted a black mailbox but it would have taken weeks to ship so we opted for a tin box instead. We ended up liking it, better…
