runs small - Activewear

Pants are excellent, the size is not very good. I ordered 16 and it's nowhere near a 16, more like 12-14. The rest of the pants are well made. They go back.

Pros
  • Our breathable and waterproof Hydroshell fabric keeps you dry and protected in cold weather.
Cons
  • Unsafe

Slim but cute. - Women's

Excellent fit. I've used them in cold weather and they've worked well in Colorado in 50 degrees. They're flimsy, but I'll be using them every day this winter. I live in Southern California so it's 40*-70* cold for me. I bought thicker socks for the days when I walked in the snow.

Pros
  • Whatever the weather, they won't let you down as the fully waterproof Hydroshell fabric is breathable and extremely durable.
Cons
  • Base required

Non-waterproof for outerwear

The waist was quite narrow but the rest of the pants were too big. Also, it's not waterproof. My friend bought a pair which I borrowed for work as my size was no smaller except for my waist and when it rains my feet get wet. Very wet. So. Can't recommend as a raincoat, but decent windbreakers.

Pros
  • Deluge waterproof overalls are easy to put on at the first drop of rain thanks to the 3/4 side zips, which also offer excellent breathability if you get too hot.
Cons
  • Minor issues

Runs small: outerwear

Bought these waterproof pants for a week on a school trip which unfortunately promises rain. I wasn't sure if I was going to be small or medium so I ordered both with the intention of returning a size that didn't fit. I tend to be small in most clothes (5ft 9in, 140lbs). Both the small and medium were surprisingly narrow at the waist, but the small were too tight around the seat. I would recommend sizing up from the size you normally wear.

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for elderly

Good quality, good protection from heavy New Zealand rains!

Bought for a New Zealand holiday that included several multi-day hikes. These waterproof Berghaus Deluge pants with polypropylene tights at the bottom kept us dry and comfortable for several days. They're easy to move up and down steep, rocky slopes, and side vents/zips add breathability. For $35, that's a great deal! For your core, however, you really need a quality Gore-Tex jacket to keep you dry and warm in the torrential conditions we experienced (we hired the jackets from a New Zealand…
