I like that it's metal. I watched a video on how to use it and after a little practice it works very well, just make sure the wing nuts are holding it in place.

I didn't even get a chance to test mine because it didn't have the performance it was supposed to. I have no idea what size lead to use. Browsing the company's website was easy, but trying to navigate it was something else.

I was excited to get this for Christmas but I can't seem to get it to work properly and neither can the engineer trying to figure it out. I had to cut the pencil as there was no lead in the kit and the instructions are minimal. It is impossible to hold the screws. I doubt they fit well. Very disappointing.

Firstly the delivery was very good, the materials are high quality aluminium, bronze and steel and the kit is complete. Tried the best I could but couldn't get it to work properly. Yes, it's likely that the pantograph is fine - just the old man trying to figure it out, as the instructions for that old man leave a lot to be desired. I looked online and found several videos but none of them were helpful or showed how to set up this particular pantograph. I gave up.

First off it's solid, with engraved aluminum arms, brass and stainless steel hardware, instructions are helpful. As another reviewer pointed out, it tends to get sloppy, reducing accuracy. However, I took a simpler approach to make it work better: I went to Lowes and bought some 8-32 and 6-32 brass knurled nuts, some #6 and 8 nylon washers, some longer stainless steel 6's -32 plus several #8 screws. I am giving this pantograph one star because if the drawing is carefully traced several times the pantograph will produce copies that differ much more than the width of the pencil line . This is because the diameters of the bolts that hold the levers together are smaller than the diameters of the holes they go through. These loose screws make the arms wiggle as they trace the pattern. Tightening the bolts doesn't help as the movement of the levers loosens the bolts. Here's how I improved this…
