Works great for airbrushing

This is the right consistency (and water repellency) for airbrushing. With an airbrush, you can change the color from light brown to rich brown, or switch from one shade to another. I needed to stain some very rough, rough wood, and an airbrush was the best way to apply the wood stain without soaking everything into a super dark color. It was impossible to wipe off the extra stain. It worked great. Rubbing alcohol will also immediately dissolve any dried residue on the airbrush.

I wouldn't say it's hazel.

Birch Casey has a fanatical following who think it's a top product. I decided to give it a try. I can say it's good but not great. Because? it is said to be "a concentrated solution diluted with water". I applied it to a wooden board without thinning and it's still very light and not quite hazel (see left side in uploaded image). On the right side I applied Meyer walnut stain. As you can see it is much richer and more natural in color than birch stain. The only good thing is that it was a cheap

Odd stain for trim, seals and stains

I am giving 3 stars because the stain was useless for my application and did nothing but I think it's just a tricky use case. I'm trying to use this to color a 3D printed object that is filled with wood, it's about 30-40% of the wood. Stains can be applied to things like that, but apparently not in that way. Again, this is a 3D printed part made out of part wood and part resin. It happened to be the cheapest stain available at the time. All that happens with it is that it just stays on the…
