Good scanner in scanner

Bought these for office use and they work great. The staff love them and no problem to report. They scan quickly and are easy to set up.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Negative impression

Works perfectly and fast

I don't understand why it doesn't have 5 stars. We installed 10 of these devices for different clients and they work perfectly. No problem, and you can pre-program buttons on physical computers with shortcuts if you connect them over a network connection. If you only connect via USB, you can press the button to scan to PC, but you cannot preset shortcuts.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Doubt

Excellent product in office electronics

I am upgrading a Workforce Epson Pro GT-S50 document scanner. I definitely consider this an update. Brother scans very quickly and has excellent blank page detection, no software to download to my computer system, setup via ethernet connection, and the output goes directly to a shared folder on my QNAP. NAS BOX. Initial setup was a bit confusing, but I played around with it for about 10 minutes and figured it out. I am very happy with this purchase and consider it one of my best purchases. dim

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Many features

Good product! Terrible support.

This scanner is truly phenomenal. I just rolled out the software to 30 users and it was bug free. Scanning is really fast, duplex and an amazing document management system. was digitized by one person in a week. Tech support is sorely lacking as I had some pre-configuration questions. They are required during the actual installation. I'm only reviewing the product itself, not the "support". Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Solid construction
Cons
  • Not the best

This is an excellent scanner. Very fast, a bit noisy. I bought two of these and sent both back. One had a paper jam and after the paper jam was cleared it beeped after each scan like it had a paper jam. I was totally disappointed with the customer service, they actually hung up without answering. The other scanner was making very strange noises, like something was wrong with the rollers. I hated coming back because I liked the speed and drivers for my applications.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Scans fast. I love it.

I have used this device to scan three years of receipts and other documents that I have wanted to archive for a long time. You have to use Brother's scanning software (I couldn't find an open source program that could scan to multiple files with it), but it works. It seems to have a lot more features than I'll ever need (seems to be compatible with the company IT department's wired intranet). Good that both sides are scanned. When scanning at the highest resolution, the scanner pauses for about

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great for small networks

This is a fantastic scanning solution for the small office. We bought Brother because we have a very expensive Xerox copier that we use for scanning but it breaks down so we need a backup. After a few weeks of using Brother, nobody in the office uses Xerox anymore, except for large scans. Brother became the main scanner and everyone in the office gave it positive feedback. It works great. I've only seen it get stuck once, and that was because someone hadn't removed the staple from the document.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Legacy
