No Click = Head Pin = Waste Code

There are several other 1 star reviews here and I repeat what these users experienced. Found out the hard way that "click" doesn't work! Unscrew the cap screw that was set for 12 pounds of torque. What used to be a smooth overhaul of an old moped that I am restoring has turned into a costly and time consuming situation. Now have to buy the correct bolt extraction kit and will probably take longer than I would like to get back to where I was. I suspect I also have trouble finding an original…

Pros
  • CDI Torque products are proudly made in the United States of America, Industrial City, California. Each instrument comes with a calibration certificate and a custom made storage case.
Cons
  • I will write back later.

Quality tool from the USA. There is no Chinese hack here.

This is a quality device. It makes my $20 Harbor Freight torque wrench look like junk. Compared to the HF wrench, this is much easier to turn to the desired torque level. The HF tool requires a lot of effort, especially when approaching its upper limits. Machining and chrome plating - like jewelry. The only complaint I have is that when you tighten the key there is a tendency to put pressure on the locking ring and then the crank turns and you change the torque values. This happens a lot…

Pros
  • Meets or exceeds ASME B107.14-2004, ISO 6789. Individual serial number with corresponding NIST compliant certificate of calibration
Cons
  • Slightly torn

High quality American tool

I bought this torque wrench for use in the car. I was drawn to this model because CDI is a Snap-On subsidiary/OEM and I needed a quality American made tool with a warranty. I read somewhere that this wrench is almost identical to the equivalent snap-on model, and while I haven't looked into a true snap-on torque wrench, the quality leads me to believe it's true. The key arrived in a gray case. including wrench, factory calibration details, instruction manual, warranty card and silica desiccant…

Pros
  • The handles are lightly knurled for a secure and non-slip grip. Double scale, calibrated on both sides, force locking with spring retaining ring
Cons
  • Long delivery time
