Best Jewelry Store Ever

I know I spent at least $1,500 on my library of jewelry books. I tend to use them for inspiration rather than technique because no book is as detailed as I think it should be. I am very happy with this book and I think it might be one of the best books I have ever bought. I have read MANY books of this nature and am hard to please. LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

I hesitated for a long time between this book and the other but I am so glad I chose this book after reading so many reviews on both. The book contains the most complete instructions on how to use chain mail with a chart/CGI instead of images, using different colors to indicate different rings. There are a few weaves that I still don't understand, such as Jen Pind, but it's hard for a lot of people to understand. Encyclopedia of Mail Weave

This is Fong's book to be honest, but finally here is a book on Mail Weave that's mostly about skill development, not projects that cover variations on some techniques . My first book on chain mail was the classic Great Wire Jewelry by Irene Frome Peterson. Chain Maille Jewelry by Karen Karon appears to be the heir to Peterson's book.
