Needed to replace a steel screw that I couldn't find. Bought a stainless steel screw instead, but then had to cut more threads. Rotated the tool one turn, then a half turn to clear the shavings and continued until "Voila!" I had exactly what I needed. The tool still feels razor sharp and I hope to use it again and again.
I like that it's cheaper than a $20 or $10 skate tool Should be at any skate shop if I've used one is it's a pretty cheap tool, well worth the money. Make sure you use some type of oil like 3 and 1 or wd 40. Center the tool on any damaged or worn protectors, use a wrench and start turning but before turning, spray the tool with oil and start pedaling, then wipe and you're done!
For threading the bolt handle on a rifle Round the stock to about .313" and cut a few threads. The die was sharp with enough room for swarf to clean itself out .Start threading which means you can't thread all the way to the base of your material.I turned the die over and ran the thread down and it cut almost to the end of the shaft.so what can you do.Overall I am very pleased with the quality and accuracy of this matrix.
