Craig HDMI Player Remote CVD401A Review

I received two of these to work with different TVs at a trade show. They're the cheapest I've been able to find with an HDMI connection, and both worked flawlessly even when we worked non-stop for a week, 24 hours a day on a continuous cycle. They are also a good small size. The only thing you need is control as not all the buttons you need are on the player itself, but that wasn't a problem for me.

Works great for a budget device. I got this because I wanted a small area for an underutilized item. So far it has worked well, the remote control is simple and easy to use, no setup issues. What I don't like is the timeout, I don't want a timeout, nor a sleep mode, or at least the ability to choose a different time. If he falls asleep, you lose your seat. The timeout is too short.

This is a pretty standard DVD player - it plays DVDs with no problems, great. However, it lacks some features that I am used to from a DVD player. First, if you pause your DVD for more than ten minutes, you won't be able to pick up where you left off - instead, you'll start your movie over from the beginning. When using a DVD movie from a still packaged disc, the player did not display a menu, did not support movie playback, and displayed subtitles in the wrong color. I have a duplicate of the same film that I checked at home on my DVD player and the subtitles were yellow instead of light green like the Craig 401A. But there was a small problem.
