It works great and everything was as advertised

I bought this for my Logan lathe. It works great and everything was as advertised. The schematic was correct and easy to understand. The device requires 9-15 volts DC, but there is no mention of how much power the power supply is supposed to deliver. I first used a 9 volt battery with clamps and it worked great with the included magnet. However, with a 15V 200mA power supply, the magnet wasn't strong enough. I ended up using a 9V 300mA power supply and it works great. I just had to mount the…

Works with K-Series 1-cylinder Kohler engines or other engines

Used on a single-cylinder engine as it is difficult and expensive to find a good tachometer for a cylinder. I've tried these mini inductive tachometers that have the wire wrapped around the spark plug wire. They are unreliable and should not be installed. That works great. I installed at the end of the crank with a bolt and a couple of washers. Once you are sure the magnet is on the correct side of the cartridge, sand down the slot in the magnet discs and use some epoxy for extra protection. I…

Seems to be working after detecting damage to the sensor cable

Spent hours milling a mount for my lathe. I installed everything correctly, paid special attention to the polarity of the magnet, and the display shows only zero. I can see the LED on the sensor blinking as the magnet passes it, so I know the sensor is working properly. Reliable 12V power supply. The display electronics looks like garbage. I will contact the seller but without expecting much. However, the review may change when this is decided. Otherwise add me to the list of 1 star reviews…
