Omni directional antennas provide a 360° Our Omni directional antennas donut shaped radiation pattern to provide the widest possible signal coverage in indoor and outdoor wireless applications. An analogy for the radiation pattern would be how an un-shaded incandescent light bulb illuminates a room. A high gain Omni’s vertical radiation pattern will exhibit a flattened donut shape. Typical applications for Omni directional antennas include indoor office spaces, retail stores, warehouses, small office or home networks, outdoor cafés, campgrounds, RV parks and marinas. Examples of Omni directional antennas include the common “Rubber Duck” found on many WiFi access points and routers as well as the complicated antenna arrays used on cellular towers. This Omni directional antenna is providing wireless connectivity for laptops, tablets, and smart phones in the coverage area. In order to reach the highest dBi Please not there are there are two Considerations:. 1. Power Supply Hotspot Miners come with a DC power supply. However you may want to mount the miner on a tower. The benefit to mounting on a tower is that it will reduce the length of cable between the antenna and the miner. This in turn reduces noise to result in better sensitivity, more witnesses and therefore more HNT! However mounting on a tower presents a challenge when it comes to powering the miner. One product that allows you to simplify powering of the hotspot is a Power over Ethernet adapter. 2. Cables It is important to keep the length of cable from your antenna to your hotspot as short as possible. Why is this? The simple reason is that the longer the cable, the greater the attenuation. An increase in attenuation by 6 dB will reduce your range by half. And in the world of Helium that means your hotspot will witness fewer beacons. As you can see the attenuation of the cable increase with length. As well, the higher the frequency, the greater the attenuation for a given length of cable. That's why we only provide a 1.5m cable in the package, reduce the cable length between miner & antenna will reach the best dbi. So please make use the original cable we proviced in the pacakge or the antenna will not reach 10dBi.

Poor Performance Best in Computers & Accessories

Completely inefficient - works poorly; The original 1.2dBi antenna transmits and receives much better. I understand the dBi antenna and its effect on the output waveform. It was tested in the immediate vicinity and according to specifications. Very disappointed that I bought and installed 2 on my helium miners before testing. Do not buy!

Didn't improve miner's income.

I don't know much about how these antennas work. However, I could not see any improvement in my helium intake compared to the standard antenna. I live on top of the hill.

No 10 dbi on network antennas

Got this for my rak-miner. Later it turned out that this size cannot be 10dbi. To the little one. In the best case it is 3dbi. If you just want to move the antenna to another location, the miner is good, but it won't give 10DBI results! Because it's not 10dbi. Use the company's website for the antenna instead.

No real 10 dBi. in network products

Customer service confirmed that the engineer said it would reach 1.3 km in the open field. I sent mine back. It's garbage. I've been using it for 2 weeks with no improvement over the standard 2.3dbi.

Helium Mining: Computers and Accessories

Update as a user, we don't have the technical knowledge to confirm this is 10 dbi as advertised. And in the end I doubt that it brought an improvement over the standard antenna and most likely a falsely advertised item.
