I had the same experience as most others, to no avail.

I had the same experience as most, failed immediately after installation. Unfortunately I waited a while to install and that was outside of Revain's return date. I didn't read the reviews before buying either, so I probably wouldn't. 2 punches to me.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Reliability

The part is defective - buy a genuine Honda part.

errors during the month. A YouTube video made installation relatively easy. The codes were gone for a couple of weeks, then they came back. I had to take it to a local shop, they confirmed the part was malfunctioning. I decided to have the shop install a Honda OEM part. If I had to do it again I would pay $130 for OEM, not $60 for this one. The cost to diagnose and replace by the OEM is $250-300. Use a Honda OEM part.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Didn't work on Honda Odyssey 3rd generation

The part fits, installation is easy. I worked one day and then I got a check engine on my cluster. OBD reader reported P145C. The part is made in China, my original OEM is made by Denso. I'm sticking with the OEM and you can find the part you need on the Honda website for a cheaper price. I would save money by buying from the manufacturer. I installed the OEM part and had no problems. "Dorman 911-141" was a waste of time.

Pros
  • Everything is fine! I don't remember
Cons

DO NOT BUY THIS PART! CHEAP GARBAGE.

I purchased this part to replace my original evaporator purge valve because I was getting the 'Tighten tank cap' message even though my tank cap was perfectly tight. Instead of just getting the "Tighten fuel cap" message, I now have a check engine light (code P145C). Cheap junk. EDIT: I was told the part was defective and they sent me a new one to replace it. I did the replacement again and now the "tighten fuel cap" message is back, PLUS the check engine light.

  • Sturdy construction

Ready to use right out of the box

Unfortunately for what didn't work most of the time I relied on web inputs when the vaporizer system wasn't working. More like a gross leak. First I changed the evaporator purge valve, didn't help. Replaced the gas cap (should have done that first) and it didn't help. Passed the car to the chimney, they found a leak, no leaks were found. Luckily I took the original valve to the mechanic, he reinstalled it and the problem was solved. So my original gas cap was defective, not the original valve…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Some little things

Very easy to install on my 2008 Acura TL-S (about 15 minutes). Completely solved my problem! I've had three different codes (including purge valve failure) and failed ejections. After reading the reviews here I found that many ordered this and it didn't solve their problem. Did some research and found that there are more than a few possible causes for the code and purge valve failure. Also, after installing a new one, it can sometimes take up to 60 miles for the car's system to "recheck" the…
