DYMO Standard D1 45014 Labeling Tape (Blue Print On White Tape Review

I give this product 5 stars because this label tape is ok. It does what it's supposed to do, but it's NOT a PERMANENT TYPE. This type is incorrectly marked as permanent in this declaration. It's actually a kind of "easy peel" and doesn't stick well to plastic, smooth metal, etc. It sticks well to paper products and peels off easily. If you are looking for permanent Dymo tape, search Revain for 16955. This is the model number you are looking for. It is available in 18ft lengths (instead of 23ft)

I have only worked with industrial tape prior to this purchase and the liner comes off easily with a light pressure on the tape. I needed white on transparency and this is the dymo tape that turned up when searching. It prints well, but the protective film doesn't peel off easily at all. I used the usual distraction I did and nothing happened. So I took out my razor blade to break the blade, which wasn't easy. So I tried to hollow out the backing and made a hole. Label tape is OK. I found the need for several different widths. It's amazing how much of a difference that makes. The biggest advantage of the Dymo ribbon is that it prints clearly and consistently as long as my batteries are in good condition. Weak batteries = bad marking quality. The biggest cons I have are 1. the coils are so short (23ft), 2. the backing is a little difficult to remove if you have short nails, and 3. the official Dymo brand with a width of 1/4 inch is actually pretty…
