One of the two devices was defective - only 2 of 4 relays work

One of two sets that works great. On the other block, relays #1 and #3 are not working (their LEDs are on, but the relay is not working). #2 and #4 work as they should.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great little relay boards!

These relays work great for my application. I had to turn on and off a switch shutter for one device, a 5VDC signal for another, and 110VAC for others with an Arduino Leonardo. All channels on both boards are working properly. The only quirk is that they need a "high" signal in the NO/NC position due to the optocoupler. A "low" signal activates the relay.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Updates available

Man, these little relays can handle some abuse! .

God these little relays can take some abuse! When I switched them to 5V (low triggers) I found that they could handle about 40 cycles per second, which is more than I expected. The response time is very short and they have a very pleasant activation sound (although quite loud). I will be testing these boards so I hope they hold up. Some of them occasionally see trigger rates in the 10Hz range, but nothing more extreme. In any case, they have to withstand this for several years before the relayโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Two quad relay modules

I just received these two quad relay modules and they all worked as expected. The relays each draw 71mA when on. So keep that in mind. Read some complaints about the relay being a bit noisy when switching on and off (clicking on and off). Yes you can hear it but I prefer positive confirmation that the relay worked. About $6 per module or $1.50 per channel is a good price. At this price I would buy more in the future. All relays on both modules worked as expected without any problems after theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good
