Perhaps too cluttered for most purposes.

To be honest this thing looks great straight out of the box and appears to be very well made. cuts. Cons: The needle attachment area is too thick. The pencil doesn't go all the way into the corner. It's awkward to tilt the pen, and all the knobs have to be tightened twice to keep it in place. The flat side of the needle section is fine for some things, but not everything that isn't flat. The compass is more suitable for floor coverings. I think this is best for cutting Formik countertops firmly

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some issues

Nice design, great company.

This rating applies to both the product and the company behind it. I recently bought this to draw the outline of a pediment I was working on. Although it didn't turn out to be the tool I needed, I was impressed with its design. The articulated arm is definitely head and shoulders above any other compass and is quick to tackle projects, particularly flooring. Shortly after receiving and opening the tool, I lost a few parts on the job site. I emailed the company and was pleased to see a response…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Concise instructions

can't get him to hold a pencil

I thought it was cool at first. But when I tried to fix the pencil that came with the kit, it wouldn't budge. The screws were completely loose, but the sleeve that wraps around the pencil was so tight I had to grab it with pliers and squeeze it so hard I broke the pencil. I tried to insert a new pencil but could not insert it into the sleeve. Broke trying. Tried a third one, same problem. I even tried greasing the pencil but still nothing came out through the sleeve. ruined three pencils…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not trendy

Great design but design could be better.

Feels like cheap, brittle ABS plastic. The pen holder is very tight and difficult to adjust. Although I like the concept. Allows you to flatten it out to get into tighter spaces and open it up to wrap scribes. I'm sure they built it to be able to get it for less than $20, but maybe a more expensive Pro version made from fiber-reinforced nylon would also be more durable in the toolbelt and might also make it a little less cumbersome. Only other complaints, I like the retractable point but…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Not strong enough for professionals.

After a few weeks of use, this is a pretty good tool with a few flaws: -- The pen holder didn't hold some of the pens I tried. The bracket could be more adjustable. The tip of the tip does not stay firmly in the adjustment grooves. An additional locking screw inserted into the beveled latches on the captive pin greatly improves ease of use. From the looks of it, I'm just waiting for it to ever get lost behind a closet. It's a little unwieldy when you're trying to remove anything less than 1/4…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say
