Poor workmanship of industrial equipment

Appearance is very bad. Although they are said to be painted grey, they arrived with all sorts of scuffs and deep scratches, as if they had been stepped on a cobbled street. Having to do some more sanding and sanding before painting your preferred color is a bit ridiculous. They are designed for heavy duty and fit the advertised 0.25 inch thickness and length, but there is some variation in width. They say they are overpriced. Buy at your own risk!

The idea is awesome and they should work great

The idea is awesome and they should work great. I wasn't overly impressed with the fact that they claim they are 1/4" thick, but they are actually 3/16". The width is also very variable. Some of them are 3 3/8 wide and some are 3 5/8 wide. No. 3 1/2 as described. None of this would be terrible, but I've already done the milling to the size described. The appropriate screws are special housing screws from fastcap, which you will not find in hardware stores. It would be nice if they told you…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Wow they fit the pole perfectly

I read the reviews and watched videos about them and finally bought them. We installed a cedar bar at my son's house and didn't want any brackets to pound on. I was worried they might not be heavy enough; but very hardworking! Please note that the 4 holes are countersunk to ensure a flat surface when you place the bar on top. You assemble by inserting screws into the 4 countersunk ends of the top pony wall rail (we also added liquid nails for extra strength). Then we ran liquid nails all over…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
