Fermtech Regular Siphon Tubing - Clear, Efficient Hydraulics, Pneumatics & Plumbing Solution Review

I've had other automatic siphons before and even have one that I keep in my shed where most of the brewing/fermenting takes place. I bought one extra to have next to the bar where I serve home made beer. The siphon worked great and sealed well enough to pump and suck as expected. The only small downside is that the hose is very narrow. Even after dousing the end of the tube with very hot water to make it a little softer and more flexible, it still barely moved. This siphon, while working, leaves a lot to be desired. First I ordered a 5/16 siphon and received 8 feet of 1/2 inch pipe. So it didn't work. Luckily I ordered a stainless steel fill tube with a 5/16 tube which ultimately saved the day. Attaching the hose to the spout wasn't difficult. I heated the tip and pressed on the first try. After much trial and error I finally got the siphon working and was able to pump out my full 2 gallons of 16th century mead. I cleaned it with warm water. Soapy…

I ordered one of these and the product I received was broken on arrival. I received excellent customer service. It wasn't apparent in the packaging but there was a quarter sized star shaped tear on the side of the main body of the siphon tube that rendered the first unit I received unusable. I contacted the seller and he quickly fixed the problem. I returned the broken product through the Revain kiosk at the nearest store and they sent me a new one. It didn't take long for him to arrive.
