Don't skimp on the OEM!

This is definitely an OEM part and cannot be purchased after sale. If you do this you will have to do it again. Substitute both the same for the cam/crank, use a metal thimble to press the green button on the crank. (You'll have to remove the sensor first to get to the 10mm bolt if it's original.) Press the green button again, wiggle at the same time (see youtube) for examples and save yourself $100-$250 in luck !

This Hitachi OEM solved the problem.

After we bought two different cheap sensors that made the problem worse, this Hitachi sensor finally fixed it. My 2006 Nissan Altima played every morning at startup. It gave out a P0340 camshaft sensor, so I started buying the cheapest sensor I could find. One cost $8.50 and the other $9.00 but it didn't fix the problem. On YouTube a mechanic said the Nissan Altima needed an OEM which is the Hitachi CPS0003 for $49 so I was hesitant at first but I went ahead and bought it and I'm so glad I did.

Perfect Fit For Nissan Altima 2005 2.5L

Worked great in 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5L. Used to replace camshaft and crankshaft sensors when my car won't start. As a side note, shortly after they were replaced I had a lot of start time before the engine would fire. If I stopped cranking and then started the engine again, it always started on the second crank. Or if I kept spinning on the first try, it would eventually fire up. Long story short, a new fuel pump fitted (regulator was broken/stuck) and the engine starts like a dream. The…

2003 Altima crankshaft position sensor is a PERFECT match.

This made my 2005 Altima not run well. It didn't shift properly, didn't start right away, poor gas mileage, accelerated to rich, got up and walked, got up and walked. I took my scanner and cleared the codes before replacing the part. I put everything back together and BAM, it works as it should. It took me about 40 minutes to do all the work on the crankshaft position sensor. It's much easier to change if you remove the plastic from the top of the motor. Then you can put a light on the back of…

02 Altima Starting problems

My 02 Nissan Altima had very long starting problems of 7 to 10 seconds as well as occasional rough idling and stuttering. I purchased this item based on previous customer reviews. I originally bought one and it was for my crankshaft sensor which is the bottom sensor on the Altima 02. The item was shipped quickly. Within a few days, the part was installed in no time at all and yes, it solved my problem. Immediately she went from a rough start, a rude idol, to a start, each time with no problems.

  • Great for a small house

This works for 2007 Nissan Frontier 4cyl XE

When you replace the old sensor you will notice a physical change in the design. The flat plastic sensor has now been replaced by a silver round cylinder. I think this modification is to prevent oil from getting in. Don't forget to lubricate the O-ring. screw 10mm. I replaced the crankshaft sensor due to error code 335. It worked perfectly. I tried a cheap one that ripped during installation. He immediately got up and started. Hitachi is an OEM and the same OEM for Nissan parts. Just not at…

Fits 2006 Altima 2.5S

Vehicle: 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5S with 130,000 miles Check Engine Light came on. I used my Bluetooth OBDII reader to read fault codes. Two trouble codes P0725 and P0335. There were malfunctions of the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. This seems to be a general issue with Altima. This metal sensor is an upgraded version (all black plastic sensors are an older version). I looked at some DIY videos on Youtube and found a few. The exchange took me about an hour. The…

OEM new metal replacement sensor

2006 Spec-v - Package received last Easter Sunday, installed same day. I knew what I was getting into, but my check engine light was on and the old plastic crank position sensor was causing my car to misfire and have trouble starting. Instead of waiting for my car to start, I bought it after seeing code P0335 on my OBDII bluetooth reader. Installation was the most pain I've ever experienced and you literally have to do it by touch and feel as you can't see it until you manage to unscrew the…

and the car has been running fine ever since

I installed this on my 2006 Altima a few months ago along with another from a different brand, one for the crankshaft sensor and one for the camshaft sensor. Both are interchangeable. The installation eliminated the symptoms and the machine has been running flawlessly ever since. The main symptom was that starting was often very difficult and sometimes the battery was almost dead when you cranked it up. The local mechanic charged me $100 for the installation. If you want to install them…
