🧴 Hoover V2 Solution Tank Assembly (42272104) Review

Good build quality (better than the original). I'm assuming this is direct from the manufacturer and not a "fake" as the packaging says "vacuum cleaner". Note that your original is most likely blue, but this one is transparent. Also, this replacement has different plugs on the filler necks.

The original plastic of the fresh water tank (below) has become brittle and cracked in several places. It seems to be a general problem. Planned obsolescence? This is a replacement tank with a slightly new design. Less expensive than the OEM tank. And hopefully it lasts longer.

This tank assembly replaced the original equipment on our Hoover V2. Although I was concerned that this part wouldn't fit in our old vacuum, I was pleasantly surprised at how well it integrated seamlessly into the system. The construction of this tank is much stronger than the original equipment which is two piece and thin plastic at the corners that failed.

The product was better than the original. It also fits perfectly and comes with a handle. Unfortunately my Hoover broke shortly after (not because of this product, the product was excellent). Went there and bought a $189 Bissell Premier 2X from Lowe's. Do yourself a favor, ditch your vacuum and get a Bissell. Here, too, the tank change was great and fitted perfectly.

This item arrived five days early, just four days after ordering. He clicked right on my shampoo. You MUST store your handle for it to work. Looks better than the original. Only my drain piston was broken. I thought my shampoo might be fried because of this little broken part. This detail saves my 9 year old shampoo! I hope this will continue for at least another decade. I like the clear plastic compared to the tinted plastic of the original part.

I don't know exactly how old my DualV is, but it's definitely over 10 years old (I inherited it about 8 years ago). When the plastic around the water tank valve started to crack I was very upset but luckily this tank fits perfectly! As others have said you need a grip off your old tank and it snaps right into place. The tank is actually even a bit more bitter than my old one, which is nice. Very satisfied with the order. Arrived on time, well packaged, great product. And the cheapest of my options. Bought to replace my fresh water tank on a 10 year old Hoover carpet vacuum. The bottom of the solution holder fell out of my old one and was beyond repair. The local shop told me I needed to buy a new fresh water tank.
