I have a lot of these. HP laptops are the office standard. I don't see any difference in performance compared to the new docks. I mean, what does a docking station do other than "dock"?

This is a solid design and unit. Your laptop needs to be at a certain angle in order for it to snap into place, but once it's attached it works well in every way.

Dock received and price was good but 2 USB connectors were bent and needed tech service to fix. I took care of it, but an ordinary person would return it.

Original HP Dock. Bought for a business customer. It must have been perfect, otherwise I would have heard the answer right away.

I didn't want to give up my two monitors and other stuff when my old desktop gave up, but I didn't want to shell out for a new one either. I got my HP EliteBook up and running with this device and now I have the best of both worlds.
