This is a great design and finish. I like the built in cable. The hard disk is inserted directly. Only two screws are missing for the end piece that secures the hard drive inside.

I really like that I don't have to carry a cable in my laptop bag to store it offsite somewhere else. I like that the cable is well removed. It's hard and easy. I installed a 2TB SSD and couldn't be happier.

Feels reliable once everything is set up. The non-detachable cable is a plus and I love how it keeps it in place. Installation doesn't require any tools, but it's only two screws, so it's not difficult at all. Definitely a good deal for the price.

I had another case that required the cable to be connected to the case and over time it started to short out. This new one is much better, no cable to remove, avoiding disconnects when connecting to the case. Case. Another big plus is that it's very thin and great for travel.

It's a nice little case, but admit it's meant to put a disc in and leave it there forever. To remove the drive, you must disassemble it completely. I bought it for one-time use when cloning my laptop's spinning hard drive to an SSD, so it wasn't the best choice for this as I had to remove the SSD to put it back into my laptop. However, if you're looking for a case that you can fit a drive in and use as an external drive for a long time, this is a good choice.

Works as advertised. This is a regular 2.5 inch USB 3.0 hard drive enclosure in an aluminum case. I am currently using it to host a 500GB WD Blue SSD and have no complaints. It's been a month and still no problems. The only disadvantage of this case is that the cable is too short. I found I had to pull and stretch it around the case to fully engage the USB connector.
