It's okay if you don't cover the fan blades with tape.

It stopped working and when I tried to figure out why it was mostly clear: it couldn't move because of some duct tape. I then removed the clog with tape but found the motor had died and the fan would no longer run. (Afterwards, I happily disassembled the fan with a screwdriver to figure out how the motor might have failed. I saw no evidence of burning or melting, and my investigation yielded no answer—just a long puzzle.)

Die off in a few days is best for HVAC fans and circulators

I installed this in a bathroom vent to remove moisture after a shower. It moves less air than I expected, but it didn't really matter. The real problem is that the fan died within a week. It worked fine and the next day I didn't seem to hear the fan running, but when I checked later that day it was working fine. But a day or two later I climbed into the attic to double check. The fan was completely dead. There was power in the outlet, power in the motor, but it wasn't working. I recommend…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Not a hurricane but works great and super quiet

I didn't need a lot of flow so I knew they weren't the most powerful fans. They are very breathable, I put one in and the other out. The airflow is spot on and that's all I really need. My main concern was the noise and that will not be a problem. They are super quiet. They were pretty easy to set up too, I had to have someone help me hold them in place while I tightened the tent opening around them, but overall it was easy. Operation is simple: install and connect. Nothing could be simpler…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power
