Life Saver - Cutting Tools

I made the mistake of not using the nuts that came with the new shocks I installed and the top of the thread on the Shock leg broken. This saved me from having to buy another damper. Moral of the story, use the new parts and use these if you haven't and screwed up.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific

Flawless Victory! fits thread dies

I bought a useless universal thread repair tool here at Revain and it ruined some welded studs even worse than they were. I really didn't want to weld in new ones so I bought this little gem and it restored everything perfectly in one pass! I couldn't believe it; these threads were discarded by another cheap instrument. That thing saved my ass!

It worked great!: Threading die

I need something to clean the 8-year-old cat thread on my Acura TL. A bolt broke off when removing and I didn't want a repeat of having to remove them again. This matrix worked great for removing surface rust and restoring threads. I've paired it with a 3 piece Irwin tap set to thread factory nuts and now they work together in perfect harmony. The last picture shows the bottom 3 studs after using a die and light wire brushing, they look brand new. The nuts would be spinning freely now were it…

Pros
  • Threading die
Cons
  • There are new competitors
