Excellent picture quality for VHS and S-VHS transmission

Worked well for many S-VHS cassettes I have. I bought another one a year ago but didn't realize it was for VHS tapes only. This new one worked with both VHS and better picture quality. Much cheaper than the company!

Pros
  • Plug n Play setup
Cons
  • No performance

Good VCR with S-Video output

Good VCR with S-Video output. What's not to love? If you still want a VCR in 2017, this is a solid choice. I use mine to transfer digital format VHS tapes to my computer or burn to DVD. Very accurate and consistent with the source. The built-in TBC and image stabilization work wonders.

Pros
  • ET mode allows recording in S-VHS on VHS tape
Cons
  • Available in white only

This VCR stores projects

After not watching my home videos on VHS and SVHS for years, I can now watch and import them onto my computer using another device. I'm looking forward to spending the next few months editing family videos and shooting my mom's 80th birthday video. Note that the remote control has been placed inside the device. At first I thought it was missing. In the end, I managed to carefully pull it out of the device.

Pros
  • Compu Link offers one-touch operation with matching JVC components
Cons
  • Very expensive
