For me higher than the best

I've searched a lot to find a boot that is higher on the foot than most and found this one. In general very satisfied. The insole popped out of the boot after a few uses, but really, if you're messing around in a pair of wellies, this will happen. I would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • My son loves these boots! They fit as described and are very stable. Great for puddle jumping and cleaning chicken coops 👌
Cons
  • This is a scam. These are cheap black boots with no markings. bring you back

I've bought probably 5-6 pairs of Kamiks for my 3 boys in the last 5 years. I tried to save money by not buying Bogs or Mucks but to be honest they don't last more than a year. We live in PNW and my boys wear them a lot in the fall and spring, they ALWAYS break before I can pass them on to the next child. I finally started buying Mucks, they are worth it. What I like most about kamikas is that they are larger and don't have side loops. In addition, they are only bought for one season.

Pros
  • Also very durable and comfortable! My grandson loves them!
Cons
  • Cracked heel at 4 months

Kids love the Kamik Stomp boots.

We are on a farm and mud boots are essential. I love that kids only slip their feet and have chafing problems when they forget to put their socks on. Waterproof and easy to clean. Very durable. I've only had to replace them when they were too small (and even then the younger one gets the older one's scuffed boots), never because they leaked.

Pros
  • These wellies fit perfectly and I have plenty of room when wearing socks. Thank you 😊
Cons
  • These boots don't last. The right shoe was torn at the back above the heel. I will buy another brand when my child grows up.

Back to our second purchase

We have 4 boys under 10 years old. Every fall we buy a new pair of rubber boots as they come in handy in bad weather, hiking, mud etc. Last year we tried this brand and this year I will come back to buy the same brand. They have held up great with almost constant use (my boys wear them more than regular shoes as they are so easy to put on and take off). I feel the boots are true to size, but I always order a size up for warm socks to wear on the hike and in winter. Lots of room to grow. Good…

Pros
  • The material is thicker than most at Walmart or Target. We are happy with the purchase.
Cons
  • My son wears a size 5 in regular shoes. Bought them in size 5 and 6 and they were too tight.

Weak tires / didn't even last a month

Was a month old and had a broken/cut back ankle on both boots. My son is rough with the shoes but with such good reviews they last a little longer. In addition, he constantly takes out the earplugs and refuses to wear socks, and the result is a terrible smell. I have to soak my shoes in vinegar to get rid of the smell.

Pros
  • I love boots! Fits perfectly! Well done!
Cons
  • You look fake to me. The brand name is peeling off and the lower part is different from that shown in the picture.

The painful lip at the top of the boots needs to be removed!

After buying these boots and waiting for the product I decided to read the reviews. I've seen several photos of children whose feet were rubbed to the skin or burned at the toes of their boots. When the boots arrived, I quickly found the cause of the burns. There is a terrible lip on the inside of the boot. I showed it to my 7 year old son and he offered to just cut his lip off which we did. No burns! I'll admit it was weird cutting a new pair of boots, but it was less of a pain than going back

Pros
  • Highly recommended!
Cons
  • It's been 5 weeks and they have a 3 inch tear in their ankle. A week later too late to return. Such a disappointment.

Great boots for tough kids!

These are great boots for noisy kids. My son has been rubbing holes through the Lonecone brand in less than a month while we have had these boots for a month and a half and the treads still look new. They have a narrow leg opening and as they don't have pull handles you may have to help your child get them dressed but my 3.5 year old figured that out already. However, you must learn how to put them on the right feet! The flipped toe is actually a very nice design as most kids tend to drag their

Pros
  • The size was fine. I usually wear women's size 6 but this worked great.
Cons
  • Fits just right. The back of the boot is cut above the heel. I'm disappointed. I will not buy again.

Find something else

I have a seven year old who has trouble walking in boots. He told me he had a hole in the back of his boot on the heel and I thought he did. A few days later he showed me that his second boot had the same hole in the heel. Two shoes fell apart in the same place and I think it's the product and not the baby. Looks like they just opened up. I bought the boots at the end of September, now it's mid-February. They didn't last six months. I only bought this product because my regular brand was…

Pros
  • The boots are ok but I have to send them back, they are too big for my grandson, sorry.
Cons
  • Great, but runs small, order one size larger

Great barn/rain boots

Fits as expected, perfect for muddy yards or rainy days. I liked my kids' higher and slightly narrower legs - some of the other wellies we had were really loose, flexible and shorter. They fit great at a good price.

Pros
  • I bought two pairs and my son loves them. I made them a little bigger so they can grow into them
Cons
  • Boots can have a strong chemical smell

Disappointed in these boots

We bought these boots a year ago in March and I am very disappointed that they have already snapped. Especially since my daughter only used them a few days a year when it was humid. They look like new but are torn like she has worn them excessively which she really hasn't. So next time I will definitely buy another brand.

Pros
  • Well made shoe! My grandson loves them!!
Cons
  • Boots may be too heavy for some children.

Great boot - fit and height

These are great boots - perfect fit for my 7 year old. It is usually worn by children 3; We ordered 3M. Good growth in boots, splashing in puddles can be done with minimal injury to pants :)

Pros
  • My son loves these boots! They suit him perfectly! Took her fishing and puddle jumping.
Cons
  • Boots may not be available in different colors

Holes after 1.5 months of wearing.

My son only wore it for 1.5 months and there is already a hole in it. These are fantastic quality and highly recommended for kids who like to play in the rain/mud.. Spend extra money on Hunter's, they last longer!

Pros
  • They are fantastic quality and highly recommended for children who love to play in the rain/mud.
Cons
  • The boot cracked and leaked water after only wearing it about 5 times.

Great boots! in my opinion

My son wears wellies almost every day (age 4 in PNW). Every pair of wellies he had had punctures or broken straps except these. He can stomp in muddy puddles all day and his feet stay dry. I also like that they don't have straps to pull them up as they always break. Just a quick hose off and they look like new, will definitely be buying them again.

Pros
  • Suitable for a variety of outdoor activities including hiking, camping and playing in the rain
Cons
  • Boots may not be soft enough inside.

These boots last a long time: my rating

Worth the cost. The little daughter wore out clothes from other brands too quickly. They broke while using them. These boots have served her well and will fit 100% when our second child joins them. We bought several pairs.

Pros
  • Super comfortable and durable
Cons
  • Boots may not be suitable for children with sensitive skin.

Untenable. - my new rating

So I stayed true to the Kamik boots. BUT I ordered this pair in March 2021. It's October and they split the length of the boot at the back of the heel. Above the black step. The profile is still great and they haven't worn much in the TN summer. They lasted half a spring and not even 3 weeks of forest school.

Pros
  • The non-slip outsole offers excellent traction and stability on wet surfaces.
Cons
  • Boots may not have a removable insole for easy cleaning.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

We usually love it, but.

My kids have worn Kamic wellies for years and we never had any durability issues until this pair came out. Both shoes broke at the back of the heel and we didn't even have them for 4 months. Our other couples have been passed down through three children and are still going strong. Email sent to Kamik support but no response yet (only a few days have passed).

Pros
  • Great boots
Cons
  • Boots may not be suitable for children who require orthopedic support.

Large crack after 8 months

When I bought them for $33, I was hoping they would last longer than Wal-Mart wellies. My son has been wearing these for 8 months and they just have a 2 inch tear on the inch up from the sole at the back of the heel. Hoping for better quality and more months of wear before they snap!

Pros
  • These are solid, good quality boots. Our boys are happy with it.
Cons
  • Boots may not sit high enough on a child's foot to keep water out.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The boot ripped at my review.

We bought them about 7 months ago but they have been used very few times and still look brand new. That's why it's frustrating that the boot ripped horizontally across the heel, which is now leaking water.

Pros
  • I love these boots! This is the fourth pair I have bought for my son over the years. Very durable!
Cons
  • Boots may not be suitable for children with wide feet.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for an active kid!

Of all the boots I've bought for my daughter, I would buy them again! She loves them and as a parent I have found that she can walk, play and do anything in these boots with ease. Other boots will get in her way or cause her to stumble. Highly recommend if you have a child outside!

Pros
  • You can't go wrong with this brand. Excellent quality and durability.
Cons
  • Shoes can chafe and cause blisters on children's feet.

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The crack is already in my rating.

Normally these Kamik boots last my kids 2-3 years but this pair has already torn at the back and it has only been 3 months. Very disappointed that they didn't even last a season.

Pros
  • Has a removable insole for extra cushioning and support
Cons
  • Boots may not be as comfortable as other brands.
