🔗 Koch 7440100 Roller Chain Feet: Reliability and Durability in Motion Review

I paid a little more for this brand hoping it was better quality. I don't have anything that compares except the chain I'm replacing which is a wreck. But compared to other chains I've worked with over the years, this one seems very strong and consistent from rivet to rivet. They came pre-lubricated with one (maybe two, I forgot) main links. Fits perfectly with my old Bolens snow thrower.

Last winter I found some rocks I didn't want to see using a snow thrower and the end result was they smashed my snow blower drive chain . I could buy a replacement from the dealer for $50 or have it made with Koch parts. I decided to take the last option. Since then I have had no more problems with my drive chain and still have spares should the need arise. This chain is very strong, comes pre-lubricated and is very consistent. I didn't see any burrs or machining marks either. I'm impressed…

I am renovating my gate which has two 12ft sides. An old chain, which the gate was when I bought the house had a flimsy 1/4" chain that kept breaking. I did some research on the Chamberlin Elite openers that powered my gate and found that the recommended one was the one Chain was #40 or #41 I decided to buy a #40 and an extra pack of links (4 per pack) from Koch although the chain comes with one link.As others have said the chain comes well packaged (plastic bag in the box) so well protected…
