Description of πŸ“‘ KOOBOOK 2 Pcs HX1838 NEC Infrared IR Wireless Remote Control Sensor Module + IR Receiver Module DIY Kit for Arduino

Sensor uses HX1838, high sensitivity. Operating voltage 5V. Output form: Digital output. VCC: 3.3V-5V external voltage (can be directly connected to the 5v microcontroller and 3.3v microcontroller).GND: external GND.IN: external microcontroller I/O port, I/O port has been designed 10K pull-up resistor. Kit theory test distance of about 5-8 meters, but the practical application depends on the ambient factors you use, as well as the middle barrier (such as diaphragm, glass, obstructions or other material blocking), receiving head with HX1838 with power work instructions lights, receive 38K frequency any remote coding data.

Missing IR sensor, inaccurate description

Giving 1 star due to the inconsistency between the product description and what was delivered. Half of the items are unusable because there is no IR receiver. Contrary to the description, the other IR sensor is soldered onto the circuit board.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

IR Receiver Just Works

Connecting the IR receiver board, jumpers and IR receiver chip to my Raspberry Pi 3 Model B was easy and working with LibreELEC Kodi was very easy. I followed the LibreELEC documentation and my Pi worked with an old DVD player remote. Very easy!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Works great, easy to use

I received two remote controls, two modules and two sensors as described. With a sensor and module connected to an Arduino Uno, I was able to read the IR codes from my many remote controls, allowing me to create a custom remote using the Arduino to control all my audio/video stuff. Works great with "IR Remote Library by Ken Shirriff" on Arduino. It's very easy to create a project to use the included remote control to send codes to control multiple relays using an Arduino and a relay shield…

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Damaged
