Works great for mail

Installation was easier than expected. The design is great for mail, most regular envelopes stack neatly at the bottom. If it weren't for the ads in the newspapers, I think this thing could hold most people's mail for a week or more. I have a Nest Hello doorbell so theft wasn't a big issue but my postwoman caught it on her bluetooth phone and she commented that she loves the new mailbox so I think it's a great review. too small for pockets, but I bought an outdoor trash can with a lid, threw…

Nothing is easy. I wouldn't use the included mounting screws

Looks better on a brick wall than I thought. The description "easy assembly" is misleading. Remember that if you don't want a thief ripping the whole block off the wall, go to the hardware store (FASENAL) and buy some serious wall steel bolts. Use a hole punch to place your holes correctly and attach this box to the wall in the correct and secure way. Remember nothing is easy. I wouldn't use the mounting screws that came with it. Once installed the postman said it was an impressive mailbox that

It is large and can comfortably hold magazines.

We have struggled to find one that will hold magazines adequately and this one is perfect, can easily hold mail for a week maybe two. It has a magnetic latch on the slotted door and items fall deep enough into the box to deter thieves. The box is strong enough to keep all but determined thieves out of it, and by determined I mean crowbars. The coating on the metal is good, I protect with car wax according to the instructions and use nano grease on the lock and hinges. Comes with all the…

High quality but disappointing in design execution - not for small packaging

GREAT - more than we expected. It would have gotten 5 stars if the design had been better implemented for small packages in the post, but it really isn't. The slot is too small, which is deceptive in the photos. Rather than making a sturdy flap with internal teeth to allow small packages to fall off but prevent keyless manual removal (anti-theft protection), they made the hole an inch wide small solid metal hole (mostly just for envelopes and magazines). Keep it as we need extra security and a…

The manufacture date on the box was 2 years ago and it was dented, although it was foam packed inside it should have been dented from the factory. I mounted it on the wall of a house with siding using 1/4" and 3" toggle screws. I also created and built the bumper under the hinge to open slowly and open at a maximum angle of 75 degrees to keep the post from falling to the ground. The manufacturer should have taken a closer look at the product before packing it, and the manufacturer should have…

Easy installation but you need to buy wall screws and a drill

Just installed today. The mailbox arrived well packaged and was not damaged in any way. The instructions are very clear and I chose to install it on a brick wall. For this purpose, the instructions mention the use of masonry fasteners. I used a 1/4" masonry drill bit and a box of 8 1" and 3/8" masonry screws. After drilling two holes, I used a socket wrench to tighten the masonry screws. This provides a controlled method of twisting .It is difficult to prevent the bit from slipping off and…
