Update: I've had these playpens for 6 years now. They still work and I haven't found anything better on the market. The weld broke off in one spot, so we're going to check each joint now to make sure the ferrets haven't come loose. I can't say I've treated them well, but they're still holding up. We always use this gate cage in place of a store bought cage for ferrets to allow them freedom of movement. It is possible to buy another one to connect to (they connect easily) but they are much larger than any cage and they have plenty of space. They often run and play. I just installed this so if my mind changes I'll update it. From the looks of it I LOVE this playpen for my ferrets. I can tilt it any way I want and it gives them a lot of wiggle room. I love that this playpen can be easily folded for storage and expanded with the 3 piece extension or you can even buy another 8 piece playpen or even an 11 piece playpen to add him this .
