It really works!

I was afraid it might be a trick but it really works. You just give it a good spin, it wobbles and looks like it's flopped - and voila! It turns upside down and spins on a thin spindle. It's a pretty neat little trick. Also, it's well made, very shiny (although it will eventually scratch depending on what you're doing it on) and my son was a huge hit for Christmas stockings.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • boring packaging

Look at this impressive crowd!

This is a neat little toy that will have kids wondering WHY it works the way it does. For an adult, I found the "grip" a bit small on the fingertips, so it takes a little practice to get a strong spin without knocking it off you. Perhaps the whole device would need to be a bit larger to allow the grip to fit the fingers better without disturbing the mass distribution. It works best on a very hard surface like steel, glass or tile. Concrete and vinyl tiles bothered a bit.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing here

Like a cell phone call

These things are beautifully designed and well worth the price. My kids can't put them down. They were a huge hit on our first Hanukkah night. I told them they were high tech Dreidels. They took it to the next level and used Sharpie markers to distinguish owners. The color didn't fade. Then they pulled out their old Bey Blade battle arena and let it rip! The sound of "ching" coming from the collision is pleasant. Like a ringing cell phone. These spinning tops spin for a long time and can hold…

I can't believe it tipped over!

This is one of those gadgets you can't believe exist. I bought 2, one as a gift and one for myself, I've searched a lot on the internet and local stores in my country (I'm from Mexico) and some people didn't even know what I was talking about when I asked. In the end, as always, Revane came to the rescue and helped me import this toy with ease. It is well made, and as a recommendation for its use, place it on a flat surface (no uneven surfaces), but try not to use it on small and elevated…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

This is a precision milled tippy top. It has a rounded body with a grooved handle. This only works on a smooth surface such as a hardwood floor, granite surface, glass, or smooth countertop. It takes a lot of practice to spin it so the top doesn't get out of control and roll across the floor. I finally learned how to do controlled rotations on a 5" mirror and 75mm concave lens. As the tip accelerates, the stem begins to rotate downward toward the ground/surface of rotation. Then he does…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great item, well made

This is a high end top. Note that it's small and it's from the UK so it takes a little longer to get there, but mine arrived earlier than expected at about a week. It's polished aluminum in a light silver color. The image is dark gray, like tungsten. These are expensive for a small toy, but they're hard to find and most of the others are made out of wood. It is machined from a single piece of aluminum and cannot be made cheaply. It is very well balanced and lasts forever. In one of the other…
