Great extension. Good for security

It was actually easier than we thought. We needed a longer gate for the living room to keep the twins away from the kitchen. We also look after two 90 year old relatives and the feature that lets you open all the gates is a great feature. We can invite our elders to visit with the option of removing the gate and bringing them back so the twins and family can spend time together comfortably.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some little things

Exactly what I needed

After the first gate I bought worked so well I decided to buy another gate and extension to partition off another part of my home. If you're like me, you might be wondering how difficult it is to add an extension to an existing gate. Let me reassure you; it's ridiculously easy. In fact, this is how I would summarize the entire installation; it was ridiculously easy. 5 stars for foolproof design

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • Tradable

The price is too high but it made my gate work

3 stars because of the price ($42.91). It is very easy to attach an extension; I assembled the gate while my husband was at work. The enclosed space I needed was 73 inches; The gate ($72.99) is reasonably priced and very practical in its functionality (check out the video of the gate - it's awesome!) - but it fits up to 72 inches so I had to buy this extension which gives me more than half the price. Original main gate!

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Good product, well received.

Perfectly survived. I've been using it for over a year. The gate and extension closed the span and are well worn. Door locks are a little strange these days, but we can't rule out the moisture in the wood the gate is attached to. We use it to keep our grandson away from the wood stove and stairs. He got a little drunk from it, but we didn't let him. We are constantly moving in and out of these gates as they block the main traffic area. So far, so good. The dogs are kicked out, the baby is…

Extends length for wide openings

Working from home during a pandemic comes with its own challenges, and there are many. Barking dogs roaming the house while my wife tries to teach at school is just one of them. We have built a gate/fence to span the wide property keeping dogs off the front door and stairs. This extension allowed us to cover more distances than most gates/fences we found. She was able to teach remotely at the school upstairs without interruption, and the pizza delivery men no longer trembled in fear when our…

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Empty

Works great! The only thing we've noticed so far after a few months of use is that it slides left to right since it's not straight (bent in a U shape). But we like being able to close the door ourselves or leave it open. I also like that you can detach everything without removing the hardware. My friend assembled it fairly quickly because he's nimble and only encountered a problem or two during the process. Overall they seem value for money so far and a lot more comfortable than any other gates

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Expensive

Easy installation (1/2 hour from start to finish)

This gate is exactly what we were looking for. Easy installation (1/2 hour from start to finish). I was a little worried because the reviews said there was no tolerance for the installation with the bottom molding. It wasn't like that. The bottom bracket is adjustable for mold mounting. The spacing between the bars is 2". This is very attractive. Again, I was concerned that it would look ugly between my kitchen and living room. Just note that there is a strip of metal under the gate that you…

Expensive, but worth it: light, strong and beautiful

I bought four of these extensions to use with our Supergate Deluxe Decor to wrap around the hearth of our fireplace. I think the price for the extension is a bit too high. Despite this, the gate is attractive overall and quite strong for its weight. The only reason I took off a star is because I would like a bulk discount if I buy multiples of these (pack of 3 or 4 or so). The extensions fit the original gate perfectly and are very easy to fit. plus without hardware. Two important things to…
