In general, the design is very solid, but more stars could only be achieved if .

Lots of bolt holes and half of them are not attached to anything. Doesn't work well with Helix Humminbird 7. Not sure if this should be mounted. I had to tilt the sonar and was able to screw 2 of the 4 screws to the base. Overall, the construction is very solid, but there would only be more sprockets if they were made a little wider with a different hole pattern.

The focus holes on the mount WILL NOT FIT Humminbird Helix 5

Cannot give a bad review as the product itself appears to be of good quality. But for the information of those reading reviews, the Helix 5's mounting holes do not match the RAM-B-111U-C Universal Mount's factory holes. So this time I did a little more research and found that RAM Mounts offers several models specifically for the Helix 5 and ordered RAP-202-153-202 instead of drilling holes in the universal one.

Just because it says "universal ".

Just because it says universal doesn't mean it's true. This universal mount will NOT fit the Humminbird Helix 5. There are many holes but none of the kits will fit. This was easily fixed by drilling 4 new holes in the aluminum plate. Just note that you can use this with a Helix 5 with a little effort, but if you're looking for a bolt-on mount this isn't it. - The dedicated mount for the Helix 5 is almost double the price, but I chose it just in case I wanted to use it another time for one of my
