Some grinding at the end of the key but works great.

There were no major problems placing the original key and electronics in this case. I just had to sharpen the original end of the key a bit where it connects to the fob to get the key to come out smoothly. The rest worked perfectly.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Must be changed if you use an old key with it, the tight fit will not open

If you don't have a cut key and use the old key instead of a blank, it's a tight fit and won't open when the button is pressed, I had to shave off the mounting surfaces to let the old key sit freely and not tight in the socket.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

It's a lot harder to change than they show!

This saved me a ton of money not having to resort to replacements. It's a lot harder to change than they lead you to believe. As for the actual part of the key, I knocked the pin (see green arrow) out of my key and replaced the actual part of the key with the shaft of the new one, so I had no problems. There are no instructions, what is on the net is at best schematic, see You Tube. Before you begin, place your pillowcase on a large lighted table and work there. If you're not mechanically…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Clarity
