A very important part is missing

The gauge works well, unfortunately the 6 inch wheel is missing. According to the description it is there, but it is not. I will update this review when corrected.

You can't go wrong with this device

I bought this device many months ago and am very happy with its accuracy. I've used some cheap gear that I just couldn't trust, but I've found this does the job. In the industry I work in, I'm constantly checking engine speeds, driveshafts, gear heads, engine speeds and more. As with any laser meter, you need to know the tricks to get accurate readings. Unreliable or accurate

I doubted the price of this device as it is expensive. However, I figured that with most tools you get what you pay for, so I bought this unit as I needed an accurate gauge for my marine diesel engines. After reading and following the instructions, I first attached the (recommended) "small piece" of the supplied reflective foil to the crank damper.
