I had to drill a hole for the set screw and nut. The hole is not drilled. The plastic base looked used and dirty. Maybe because the hole wasn't drilled and someone returned it. The DishHD pool is a bit heavier, but a sandbag or weights can solve this problem. As someone else said, it would be better if the legs were locked. I need something before my tail dish arrives.

I bought this to mount a yagi style antenna and it works great for that purpose. It's a bit heavier than I would like but I knew that before ordering and it's a testament to the solid construction. It's plastic, but good plastic. The legs are foldable (or easily detachable) and the mast detaches as well. then a small elastic string that you attach to the bottom to hold it. My antenna has almost no wind load so I doubt I'll use it, but anyone mounting a dish or parabolic antenna would probably…
