Easy installation! in Engine Cooling & Air Conditioning

I read that others had problems with the installation. All I had to do was turn the lines all the way down. Inserted right away. Removing the old one took longer than installing the new one. All clamps and fittings fit perfectly! Works great no leaks! Saved several hundred euros compared to a workshop. Defrost the kid!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Leak after 2 months

The heater core in my 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 is a little over two months old now. It's leaking again, I don't know where at the core, but I have coolant on the passenger mat. Yay.EDIT: Ordered and installed a new unit, the first one was leaking at the top of the pipes. Not sure why. The second one has been running for 3 months now, works great.

I have a fever now! for heating

It wasn't too bad replacing it on my Dodge 01 Ram. At first I thought I'd have to pull out the entire dash, but I learned how to unscrew it and disconnect it from the firewall. These swivel tubes made this method possible. I tested them for leaks prior to installation by plugging one tube with my finger and blowing through the other tube. Be careful before you pull out the dashboard!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • unreliable

Fits perfectly. Great price

Seems to work well. Fits well on my Ram 98. The metal hoses swivel so no need to cut any lines other than the old ones to remove the old heater core. Most people also cut off the lines when they are new and connect them to the heating hose, this is not necessary. Tight workspace as shown in the picture but not bad overall. The new heater core has been tight and not leaking since I installed it a few months ago.

much good for parts

fitted in 1999 dodge ram hardest job i have ever done remove dash take out 5 minute old had to cut no pipes as i see most of them are easy to cut pipes install move with it you can slide light dough into the truck for the first time in 5 years, there is warmth in the truck, very satisfied, seems to be well made, the only thing i want is foam, the only thing that didn't need to wrap around the corner, again worth the money update if problems arise

Pros
  • constant test results

Fits perfectly! Better than OEM

Perfect fit! Got this for my 2001 Dodge Ram. I would suggest watching some YouTube videos on the replacement procedure. Just so you know what to expect. It's not a very easy job. It took me 4 hours. But damn cheaper than in the garage. hundreds less. That's a nice little block. Unlike the OEM, the belts rotate, which is required to install this thing. It will most likely outlive my truck.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Only available in black

Worth every penny and time to do it yourself

I was able to detach two tubes from the new heater core, reinstall them, and then bend the aluminum stops again to hold the tubes in the core. You have to be very careful not to damage the o-rings on the pipe. I'm a trained plumber and I deal with these kinds of things all the time. You can bend back the aluminum sleeves and two pipes will come out of the heater core, making it very easy to put it back in place and then reattach the pipes. Much luck

Pros
  • Everything is great!

  • Upgradeable

Excellent purchase, very satisfied

I bought my friends 2500 and it has not heated for 5 years but now it blows very well. Excellent value for money for sure. Nobody wants to drive when it's 30 degrees outside and there's no heat. My boy is my mechanic, it took about 2 hours and it was his first time. So far, so good! Update a week after installation, it still blows hot, but I need to replace the fan motor and resistor. I'd recommend checking this while you've got your dashboard removed, or just swap out the fan motor to make the

Well, so far so good. Read installation tips

Purchased in October 2018 for my leaking 2001Ram 1500 now February 2019 and still no leak. There is a video on YouTube showing the installation of this removal, but unfortunately on some Ram 1500 models it is necessary to ALSO loosen some things in the firewall to install the new one. This video doesn't mention it. I don't remember the YouTube video right now, but there's a big black thing with about 8 screws that attaches it to the firewall right next to the heater core. Solve this and you'll…

Fits perfectly but heat seems 20 degrees lower based on air vents

Perfect for 1996 Dodge Ram. I suggest cutting tubes at the OEM to remove and cut those tubes for easier installation. I used the heater hose and clamps to hold them together later. I'm going to remove the entire dashboard of this truck using this method. Took me less than 30 minutes. These strokes are already very brittle, so the less often you remove them the better. I used expanding foam to fill the space in the firewall of shear insulation material. I'll say the OEM did 257,000 miles and my…
