Description of Stainless Self Locking Serrated B18 2 2 Threads

Flanged base eliminates the need for a washer when fastening components. Self-locking serrated flange digs into the material being fastened to help prevent loosening. Hex body has six flat sides that a wrench can grip to turn from the side, enabling use when there is no space above the nut. 18-8 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance and strength, while plain surface has no finish or coating. Meets ASME B18.2.2 specifications.

I never overpay

Hi I just received these nuts and they look great and I was able to tighten my trailer foot rest. no problems with these nuts. really great value for money that should work for a long time if needed

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Something else

These nuts are flanged so you don't need a washer and they have teeth on the bottom to keep them from loosening. This is particularly useful when using carriage bolts where the nylock locknut can cause the bolt to turn and it is almost impossible to remove from the old plate.

Pros
  • Cool Product
Cons
  • Blank

Bolt threads dig into nuts and bind

Had the unfortunate pleasure of removing these nuts. 1 out of 5 nuts ended up in a cross thread when tightened only 1/4 inch with a hand ratchet. Then they didn't come off until I heated them with a flashlight and ripped them off along with the studs. There was something wrong with the nuts I received. The thread pitch and everything was right. The character or something must be wrong as the bolt threads just cut into the nuts when tightened.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
