Works great, price was good, maybe buy a size down. They are very durable! Luckily I'm tall so I can reach the door to break it down. One of the ends is broken, but keep your old shock as the ends are bolted on (be careful). The extra pressure may bend your brittle aluminum mounts that are riveted or pull out the rivets, but I managed to get it all together.

Ephemeral, maybe, or not the right specification. I'll try again.

Worked fine for about 9 months then both failed at the same time. Very disappointing. But. UPDATE: I bought these to replace 2 similar racks that failed on a used truck I bought. This time I actually measured the rack length and load requirements and realized it was probably the wrong size. I have just ordered a new set of suspas which should be closer to what is really needed. Keep for updates.

I needed it to (a) open easily because my kids store stuff in it, and (b) closes securely as my kids keep stuff in it. That ticks both boxes. I'll say the closure isn't as soft as a soft close drawer or anything, but it's certainly soft enough for kids no harm if moderately careful.I used 45lb supports. It's probably a…
