I like Beauty & Personal Care

I've seen a lot of negative reviews about the strong taste of liquorice, to be honest I didn't find the taste overwhelming at all. I'm not a big fan of liquorice and don't go out and buy it, but I do like the taste of toothpaste. I like to switch up my toothpastes and I've found that Tom's toothpaste (I'm not usually a big fan) has a thinner consistency than Jason's (cinnamon is my favorite) and seems to produce more foam. However, I'm not entirely sure if it's more foamy or because it's more…

Cons
  • Annoying

LARGE TOOTHPASTE good for oral care

I've been using Tom's toothpaste for over thirty years, especially the fennel flavor as it's NOT minty, a taste I can't stand. I didn't have cavities at the time and my dentist said I had the gums of a 17 year old, which wasn't the case. No fancy "enamels" or approaching sensitivity, just good toothpaste.

Pros
  • worth the money
Cons
  • bad set

Contains sodium lauryl sulfate and benzyl alcohol. Naturally.

I bought this because Trader Joe is discontinuing his version of fennel, propolis and myrrh hoping it's roughly the same formula but it's not even close. It's sad what happened to this brand! I once bought Tom's Original Toothpaste and thought it was very good. I can't return it either. A star

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Something different

This toothpaste contains benzyl alcohol, a synthetic preservative that studies have shown may impair the human immune system. It can be oxidized to benzoic acid, which in the presence of vitamin C can be converted to benzene, a known carcinogen. The tissues of the mouth are one of the most commonly absorbed drug delivery systems into the bloodstream. Therefore, using a toothpaste containing such an ingredient twice a day for 12 months a year does not appear to be in the best interest of health.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Damaged

Oral care without mint

I really don't like the strong taste of mint - especially not in the strength of normal toothpaste. This toothpaste has a light fennel flavor. Incidentally, fennel is similar to liquorice – just like lemons, oranges and tangerines have a similar taste. After brushing your teeth, mint throbs in your mouth.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • Speed of work

Obviously the most important point - no fluoride!

When you just can't eat Mint Fresh first thing in the morning. you have to try that! The most important point, of course, is that your toothpaste does not contain fluoride! But immediately afterwards you will feel clean and smooth teeth, without a strong aroma that will spoil your first wonderful sip of coffee!

Pros
  • Permanent Test Results
Cons
  • No Instructions

Works but tastes awful

Obviously, toothpaste isn't food, so flavor isn't as important as its ability to properly clean and protect teeth, but it isn't. terrible idea to give it a somewhat pleasant taste. What sets this product apart is not that it tastes unusually good, quite the opposite; enough that it influenced the creation of this review to warn others to try another product from Tom's catalogue. I don't know what "fennel" is or where it came from, but it definitely didn't work for me. I've been using Tom's for…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors are here

I originally started using the Tom's of Maine toothpaste because I could no longer use brands like Crest, Aim and Colgate due to the sugar content while I was diabetic. Even a little in toothpaste is too much for me, even with artificial sweeteners. I accidentally bought a fennel flavor a while ago but I really liked the flavor so I've been trying to stick with this variety ever since. It's a bit like liquorice but with a spicy twist; and a cooling aroma/taste thanks to xylitol, which…

I recommend avoiding fluoride toothpaste

Great product with great taste. Very refreshing. and that after almost a year of use. You'll realize how irritating regular fluoride toothpaste is to your gums. Ever since I was a child, my dentist has ALWAYS told me that I didn't brush my teeth hard enough or long enough. So I went home and every time I brushed my teeth harder. Now that I'm an adult I have receding gums due to poor instructions from dentists who now know nothing about oral health. My current dentist has warned me that I may…
