Description of Yikai Fiberglass Roving 164Feet Repair Raw Materials

It is compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester, and polyester resin systems. RECOMMENDED FOR EPOXY RESIN. Superior strength to Woven Cloth. Consumes less Resin and "Wets-Out" with little effort. May be rolled and folded. This does NOT harm the product. Folding is common in production.

Very thin and cannot be rolled

For covering a sandpit. The material is very thin and can be easily unraveled on one side. If you overlap it enough it might not be a problem. It's been a few years since I took on a large project so someone with a lot of patience and experience might be happy with this product. Maybe I'll switch to a heavier fabric in the future.

Pros
  • Uses less resin and "wettes" effortlessly
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Perfect for my use.

This product is thin and very flexible. That's exactly what I need. Compared to the brand name I bought from Homedepot. This one is thinner and easier to contour, I used this product to coat the inside of my resin sculpture. It is used to create a stronger connection within the sculpture. The only thing I don't like about it is that the bottom of the reel has a sealed section that doesn't fit. So I mostly just cut.

Pros
  • Compatible with epoxy, vinyl ester and polyester resins.
Cons
  • Obsolete

Very thin woven roving - difficult to work with

I thought it was a good deal to be able to get so much fiberglass at this price. What mistake. This braided roving is so thin that I was unable to use it when cutting the pieces for my project. It may be ok if you fold it several times to increase thickness. Deciding not to try this, went to the store and bought more Bondo fiberglass. It was much easier to work with him. Braided roving was developed to rapidly increase the thickness of fiberglass. but it's so subtle that it was useless for my…

Pros
  • RECOMMENDED FOR EPOXY
Cons
  • Small change
