I was a bit disappointed with the latch. I had to use pliers to bend the wire loop so it doesn't pop out when the back of the camera is secured. Otherwise it is similar to the camera.

Good for a quick fix, do not use if you plan to play high impact sports. I played paintball with this case for about a month, after shooting from about 6ft the protective film on the lens broke and the LCD screen was shattered. Dissatisfied. From now on I only buy official GoPro products.

Very impressed with the quality given the low price. The housing is exactly the same as the GoPro OEM housing. The device is durable, waterproof, and the buttons are as good (or even better than) the original GoPro. Heavy duty door hinge and latch. The camera fits perfectly, the tolerances are excellent. It even comes with a solid back door, standard clip-on mount, and thumbscrew. Very happy with this product.

I bought 3 of these but ended up throwing them away as the return period had expired. The upper arm spring kept popping out and the gopro hero 4 silver was difficult to remove once inserted into the case. I have several cameras that I use on my motorcycle adventures and if I drop my helmet I'll break the mount (even with a $49 GoPro OEM housing) so I always have to have a spare camera. I don't mind if it breaks if I bump something, but not if I change the battery or the chip.

UPDATE AFTER THREE RIDES> This is not a comparable or even worthy OEM replacement. That's fine if you're a hobbyist, but for those who know a good product, it's far from the case. I will not buy another. The buttons are hard to press, the latch came loose on the first use and the biggest problem is lens fogging! A good day of shooting is completely ruined. ORIGINAL REVIEW So far so good. The case was a bit tricky to open and remove the tailgate but I expect it will get easier with more use.

This case is better than the normal one. Due to a small crack in the top corner I have occasionally had to replace the bezel on my 4 Black and narrowed it down to the OEM case that was causing the issue. What happens with the OEM housing is that there is a screw hole (near the top corner where the lens area is) and when the camera is in the housing a small portion of the bezel "pushes" into the screw hole " and eventually develops a small crack. I was initially skeptical given some of the reviews and the unfamiliar nature of the product but was willing to take a chance on this item and win big. Right out of the box I couldn't tell it apart from my original Go Pro case. It fit like a glove, had a secure seal and even came with a replacement clasp/clip that broke on my original case. At $12 this thing was perfect. I use it for my Hero4 Silver. I haven't used it underwater but I'm sure it will work fine. The door is perfectly sealed. The 2 gaskets (O-rings around the button shaft) on each button appear to be tight, but you won't know for sure until you submerge them in water. I'd bet it would be ok to a depth of at least 10 feet if not more. It would definitely be good for water protection in a splash or rain, but I can't comment on how it holds up underwater (just because I
