Cryptocurrencies Lisk is primarily a platform that makes it easier for developers to develop decentralized applications in the JavaScript programming language. Lisk appeared as a response in the market of centralized platforms such as Google Play and the Apple App Store, which take a significant part of the income from the sale of applications due to their market position, which can rightly be called an oligopolistic position.
The platform was founded by Mac Cordeck and Oliver Beddows in May 2016. Mak Kordek is currently the executive director, while Oliver Beddovs is the vice president. It uses the DpoS consensus system (Delegated Proof of Role). Thanks to their flexibility, developers are able to implement and modify the blockchain of their applications to a high level of autonomy.

- After Bitcoin, it is the largest and most famous cryptocurrency in the world. It is funded through crowd-funding campaigns.
Cons
- The recent rise in cryptocurrency prices has also had a positive impact on LSK, but it is still far from its brightest days since 3 years ago.
