Review on Logitech Trackman Marble Trackball Mouse - USB Wired Ergonomic Mouse for Computers with 4 Programmable Buttons, in Dark Gray - Improved SEO by Akio Yamato ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

The hand finally rested. Like many, all my work is on the computer, that is, the main working tools are the keyboard and mouse. I used a regular 100-ruble OEM mouse for almost half a year, and my wrist began to fail. First, a slight whining, then the right hand began to numb at all after five minutes of work. For a week I tied my arm with an elastic bandage, then I decided - I bought a trackball. It was unusual for about a month. I chose the following layout for scrolling: the left additional key is the middle button, the right one is the universal scroll. In browsers, I open new tabs with the middle key, scroll is assigned to it in browsers - quite convenient. That is, Im used to the lack of a wheel. Where it is impossible to turn the middle button, I try the universal scroll. If it doesn’t work, I aim and press the scroll in the window. I’ll add that the trackball doesn’t seem like an incredible accuracy to me as a manipulator - rather, everything is the same. If you need to spin quickly - there is a slight inertia of the ball. If you need to slowly - slow down the rotation with your finger. That is, I didn’t reach a new level of convenience or speed in Vegas and Photoshop - I just got used to it and do everything the same as with the mouse. But the hand does not get tired, and this is a huge plus.

Pros
  • Build quality. Everything, like other Logitech equipment, is at the highest level. Unusual design. In fact, we roll a ball with black marks with our fingers, the alternation of which reads the laser beam from the window under the ball. Massive. For me a big plus. At home, the Logitech M500 manipulator - and so it seems to me already a little thing compared to the subject. Place your hand comfortably. A massive object is pleasant to hold. Huge main buttons. You can hold it this way and that - its convenient to press anyway.
Cons
  • The design assumes, unfortunately, that if there was some dirt or natural hand marks on top of the ball, then two or three movements, and the dirt has already left to settle on the slide rollers and even on the laser sensor window. In general, it’s nonsense - I just take out the ball, blow it there, run my finger - I work on.

Quite an adequate purchase, given the general state of the trackball market, where the choice is generally small.
