Shooting miniatures and action figures in a tabletop studio can cause color shifts as colors reflect off the background or even the subject being photographed. This card provides me with white balance and color check. I can't say anything about the absolute accuracy, but optically it corresponds to the declared values. Once I load the images into Photoshop I use the values to ensure the color is consistent. (You can find hundreds of tutorials on this online.) It's quick, easy, and produces great results. Even a simple white card can really up your photography game in these situations. The second card can be taken on the go when it comes to the light situation, if you have LED, fluorescent and tungsten lighting and need help deciding what to use for white balance. (I was at the IX Center during the previous Cleveland Auto Show.) You still may not be able to achieve perfection, but you can check out the offerings.
