I use these bulbs for our turtles, they are wonderful and serve a multi purpose purpose. They are a source of light and heat, so they can keep themselves warm and warm. They need sunlight just as much as we do, and these lightbulbs provide that source. The only problem is that they are expensive and easily broken. You must remember to use a rag or gloves to insert them as they are halogen bulbs and the oil from your hands will burn them. They also don't absorb well and don't last as long as a regular incandescent bulb. Turtles are also curious and squirt, so we need to get creative with these bulbs. All in all these are good pears and by far the best price I've found.
