Review on 🎵 Delphi SA10004 XM Radio SkyFi Home Adapter Kit Review by Johnny Chambers

I recently rented a Cadillac from Avis and was able to listen to XM for free. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it and decided that the home kit option would be of great interest to us as we don't spend much time in our cars. At first I didn't want to for fear that the antenna wouldn't be in the south. - Window exit. My stereo is built into the entertainment wall and doesn't allow me to point the antenna at a south-facing window. After reading that many others had success with antennas in less than ideal locations, I decided to to try. My house is 2 year old, single story brick with a regular pitched roof consisting of plywood floors and dimensional fiberglass shingles. It has 10 foot flat ceilings and pallets. After connecting the cables to my surround sound receiver and placing the antenna on top of a stack of stereo components, I pointed the antenna primarily south and at about a 45 degree angle to the ceiling. I connected SkyFi and immediately got two bars on the signal strength meter. There are no terrestrial repeaters in my area, so I rely solely on satellite. After a few quick adjustments I was getting 3 bars or it was fluctuating between 3 and 2 bars. I was very glad it worked and it's nowhere near sitting by a south facing window. After getting a strong signal and hearing the test channels loud and clear, I activated the subscription online. I timed it and it took 12 minutes for the tuner to update and start receiving all the channels. I was very impressed that it activated so quickly. I chose XM over Sirius because I had the opportunity to hear it in my Avis rental and I trust Delphi's equipment. Overall I'm very happy with the SkyFi, Home Kit and XM service.
