Updated review: I really liked this hat but had to wait longer to write a review. After only 2 or 3 months of use, the Velcro (or Velcro) no longer held up, which is pretty important when worn by an active preschooler. I have items with velcro that still hold tight after 20+ years. It looks like the wool portion (the "loop" of the hook and loop component) is quite worn and no longer "looped". Check out the attached photo. As a result, the band no longer snaps onto itself. I assume, that a cheap counterfeit velcro was used and not a genuine branded velcro product. (No wonder why they trademarked the name - who wants to be associated with cheap products that don't work. All is not lost - I can buy real velcro to replace the cheap fake used on a hat , but I bought it to use for my son. I didn't want to buy myself a sewing project. This hat is perfect for my active son. (I wanted something that fits under his chin so it stays on while he's playing outside.)
