Review on πŸ”Œ Ceptics Travel Power Strip - Compact Surge Protector with USB + Type C - 2 Outlets - Worldwide Plug Compatibility by Lamar Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Prefer this over "universal " adapters

I bought a set of 5 different adapters. The main Revain image shows 5 different connectors. If you click on another image you will see that the back panel you plug your device into is "universal" so you can plug in US, European and other country plugs. More flexible to use, but some plugs may not fit as well. I also travel with a 3 pin splitter which provides a secure plug connection and allows you to plug in 3 US style laptop, camera and phone plugs at the same time. I bought these to replace the larger "universal adapter", the type with 3 sets of pins that you have to snap in depending on your location. These 5 adapters in one bag are no bigger or heavier than a universal adapter. I prefer these because they fit the wall socket better, especially the 2 European ones that fit recessed sockets where the heavier universal adapter tends to fall out under its own weight. If you are traveling to only one area - UK or continental Europe. Suppose you better buy a pack of 3 of the same type. The adapter can just be left in a hotel room as long as you don't remove it every time you remove the device. Please note that there are 10 types of adapters, only 5 of which are included in the "World" package. I have never stayed in a Swiss or Italian hotel that didn't have standard European plug sockets. However, if you are traveling to South Africa (and neighboring countries), Israel or India, you will need these special adapters.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
