Review on 🔒 Durable and Versatile: Cardinal Gates Expandable MG-25 Duragate in Black by Billy Berry

I needed a gate for the passage from the kitchen to the living room. The gate must always be open and the type of threshold poses a serious tripping hazard in this area. I've had Kidco gates that looked like plastic hardware for 8 years. I've used them in 2 places but the plastic fittings on them (like every other similar gate I could find except this one) kept breaking. It would be nice if it could be easily exchanged, but Kidco charges a very high shipping fee. Last time I bought Kidco Co parts I bought duplicate parts so in the 8 years I've run Kidco I've replaced hardware 3 times (on 2 gates) and replaced hardware for most of the gate's life actually broke (same for both). These gates have amazing metal hardware, they are strong, the directions were better than the kids and they were easy to install. Opening the gate takes a lot of learning, but once you do it will be easy. It's getting too difficult for the baby. I will buy an open one for a second install. We have been using this gate for over a month.
